Yep, they are at it again. Who are we kidding, they never stop! The IRS phone scam is back in Rolling Meadows and this is another reminder to everyone.
Download this pic we made and put it next to your phone, on your refrigerator, anywhere that you are reminded that this is a scam!
The Rolling Meadows Police Department, or for that matter ANY police department will NOT come and arrest you for NON payment to the IRS.
If you receive a phone call, text message, email, or voice mail from someone claiming to be from the IRS. DO NOT BELIEVE that person or call them back. It is a SCAM. The scammer will attempt to keep you on the phone and force you to go to your bank and withdraw your hard earned money to give to them. They will force you to go and purchase gift cards, bit coin, green dot money cards and make you give them the number so they are immediately paid. Please, we beg you DO NOT give these scammers your hard earned money.
The best defense is to hang up or do not return their call.
We have videos on our YouTube channel that we made of actual scammers claiming to be agents with the IRS. We encourage you to check them out. In the mean time, please SHARE this post and let your friends and family know that the scam is back in Rolling Meadows.
The latest number that is scamming is 404.458.0692. Please avoid this number like the plague! If we hear of more we will post!
