Who can test my backflow device(s) and who is responsible to send information to BSI, Inc.?

Backflow prevention devices may be tested by a State of Illinois licensed plumber who is also certified by the IEPA as a Cross Connection Device Inspector (CCDI).

Your tester is responsible for returning the original, signed inspection reports to BSI AND the city (waterops@cityrm.org) by either mail or high-quality scan through email. The inspection report must be submitted within 5 calendar days of when the test was completed. Testers should provide their customers with proof that the reports were submitted.
