The City was developed prior to many of the storm water codes that regulate our areas today. If you have water in your rear yard and your home is not in danger of flooding, the City requires that you wait 48 hours after the rain event has ended to contact the Public Works Department – if the water is still standing. If your home is in danger of flooding, please contact Public Works at 847-963-0500, or the Police non-emergency number for after hour calls, at 847-255-2416.
