April 21, 2025 - Martam Construction has begun removing the existing sidewalk along Hicks Road, starting at Euclid Avenue. Driveway entrances impacted by the work are being temporarily backfilled with aggregate to maintain access until the new bike path is ready for installation.
April 26, 2025 - The removal of the existing sidewalk along Hicks Road has been completed, along with the removal of some grass and topsoil. Removal of the existing curb, gutter, and driveway entrances began on April 25 on Euclid Ave.. This work is ongoing and is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
May 5, 2025 - Contractor performed undercuts, Geotech fabric for ground stabilization, aggregate subgrade improvements, and aggregate base course work along the Euclid path alignment. Preparatory work for concrete curb placement on Euclid was also performed. Concrete placement on Euclid and storm sewer work on Hicks Road has begun this week.
May 13, 2025 - Martam continues progressing with the installation of stormwater pipes and structures along Hicks Road, with the majority of this work nearing completion. Crews have also begun laying the foundation for the new landscape wall.
Along Euclid Avenue, ADA-compliant sidewalks, curbs, and driveway entrances have been poured. The remaining concrete work is on track to be substantially completed by June.
