About the Department

The Rolling Meadows Public Works Department's mission is to enhance the quality of life by maintaining the City's:

• System of highways, local streets, pedestrian ways, bicycle paths and parkways to provide for safe transportation for residents, businesses, and visitors
• Water distribution and storage systems to ensure a safe and reliable source for drinking water
• Sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems to ensure for proper disposal of waste water and stormwater runoff
• Residential refuse and recycling collection and yard waste collection and disposal
• Fleet, public buildings and open spaces

The department accomplishes these duties along with all related activities to provide for the highest levels of service at the most cost effective means possible.

Non-Emergency Service Requests

Please submit an online Citizen Request Form to report a residential service request. You may also call the Public Works Department at 847-963-0500.
