In an effort to better assist our residents, the Rolling Meadows Police Department has created an online At Risk Resident Portal. This portal will assist residents with family or household members with special needs, health concerns, or medical issues such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Autism, just to name a few. We have created this online portal to allow a family member or legal caretaker of the at risk family member to place information in our database that will be accessible to our police officers.
How is the At Risk Resident Portal Used?
The At Risk Resident Portal is utilized by an officer responding to a specific call for service involving an at risk resident. The officer would have advanced information not normally known for the specific circumstance, for example, a family member suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia that frequents a certain location or walks away from the residence. Having this advanced information in the portal will allow an officer to know what the family member looks like, and will allow an officer to immediately start looking in specific areas that were designated on the at risk portal. This will save valuable time when seconds count.
